The official registration period for the conference has closed, and so we cannot guarantee remaining spaces at social events but we will do our best.
Fun Things!
The social program includes a day outside Munich visiting beautiful places in Bavaria (Linderhof, Ettal and Benediktbeuren) and a conference dinner in the cloister of Benediktbeuren (on the 4th). The fee to participate in these activities is 90€.
On Tuesday, August 3rd , there are a number of Garching tours t choose from! In the morning you can select tours to the research reactor, particle accelerator, MPE, ESO, informatics department, mathematics department and mechanical engineering department. The access to reactor and accelerator are limited to a subset of people, so please get your reservation in soon. Below is a method to express your interest in specific tours. Attention: For the reactor tour you have to be over 18 years, not pregnant, not breast-feeding a chld,, and not have a heart pacemaker!!!
If there is enough interest we are able to offer evening tours during the meeting, too. The first offering is a beer tour to the most famous beer places (brewery, beerhouses and beergardens) in Munich (costs around 20Euros). The second offering is a Munich walk through Munich downtown and the most important places in Munich history.
On Sunday 8 th we offer a post conference tour. That includes a private guide at the Deutsches Museum and a trip to a real Bavarian folk festival in Dachau close to Munich.
